Drainage idea? advice!

So i have made a crappy drawing of it so try to make it out xD

Basically my cage will sit in a small plastic bin that will have very small spacers on 3 corners to make the water run to the remaining non spaced corner, there will be a hole drilled in said corner with a pvc pipe running down to the bucket.

Think it will work?
also how do i put a picture on the thread i cant figure it out xD sorry

I have heard of people putting their cage on top of those plastic drawer units.

Cut out some of the top of that cabinet and drill holes in the bottom. To empty slide out the drawer. Might be less complex for you and the bottom of the cage will not be sitting in water/wet
