can anyone give me some advice, just built a wooden viv for my veilled , i dont have him in it yet, what a good way ov drainage as i dont want water build ups, how do u get the water to run to the back as ive seen a few on here that have what looks like drainage pipes at the bottom corners that run into buckets. any advice would be apreciated.

Oy, can you post a pic of the viv? May be easier to figure something out.

I just drill holes in the bottoms of mine, and let them empty into a bucket.
This seems to work fine for me, and it never runs of the sides or anything.

Pictures would definitely be good. Where you have the enclosure and any "appearance" concerns are also issues. I have the all mesh cages and they sit in frames over rubber "drawers" to catch the water...

away at moment

sorry dave, im away for 2weeks, wife & kids r minding elmo, so cant post pics just yet. cant believe how much hes adjusted, soon as you go near his viv now he comes straight to the front to greet u, hes so easy to handle now, loves comin out .

Haha, wish my my guy was that personable. He doesnt mind me picking him up most of the time, but hes not about to choose my hand over his trees.

There is a picture of my "super fancy" drainage setup here:https://www.chameleonforums.com/cage-flooding-help-74847/

The cage is from DIYcages and has a flat pvc bottom piece that rests on the lip of the cage frame. The weight of the plants bends it down in the middle, and even though its only maybe a 1/4" of a drop in all, it seems to bring the water to the middle. In the middle I have srilled numerous small holes in a drain pattern.
If thats helpful :p
