Drainage fllor ideas

OK Guys just mulling over some ideas here, and your input..(as always) is welcome..im starting on the frame build on Monday for the new Mellers unit and i`m just throwing a few ideas in the air...the first is in regards the drainage floor area..the floor of the unit will ne a raised affair covering approx 9ft x 30"" .Now the floor needs to drain away any excess water from the misting system..ive already worked out how to direct the water to the floor and what to do with it once it actually goes through thev floor..however, as far as the actual flooring is concerned, it has to be strong enough to support a large number of potted plants.
So here is what im considering...

First the actual floor will be constructed from a steel wide mesh. ie i could use GRIDWALL PANELS as used in shops...these are chromed..or i could use the mesh stainless steel panels from a square dump bin..both these panel types are strong and cheap..ish. to cover the full floor area, also strong enough to support a lot of weight...over the top of this i would place plastic perforated mesh like a kind of fixed carpet(small holes). this will allow full drainage as well as the underlying strength to support the pots..

what do you think?

i had thought of using perforated perspex..but the above method is stronger and cheaper! :)
