Dragon Strand Nursery cage

I finally got around to setting up my nursery cage. I have limited floor space left available so I decided to put two of them side by side on a shelf. All lighting and misting is suspended above the cages. Nothing is attached to the cages and this makes cleaning and outside sun time very easy. I used 1 spot/basking light per two cages as well as 1 mist head per two cages and it works perfect. The branches are natural Crepe myrtle. I cut them to fit perfectly and then hot glued them in place. Branch placement is very important as I wanted to get my big hand/arm inside and to the back of each cage and am able to do that. All lighting and misting is automated with timers and the basking lights are controlled with a master dimmer for temperature adjustment. I installed drain tubes in the rear of the drain pan and put plastic furniture moving discs under the front so it slants toward the rear and drains perfectly.

I forgot to mention, my only regret is that I only ordered one as I wanted to see if I would like it before getting more of them. I'm very pleased with these cages. The quality is very good, the space between doors and panels is so close I don't have to worry about the smallest if insects escaping. Everything fits perfectly and I will definitely order more of them. Customer service was fantastic and the entire purchase was easy and pleasant. I definitely would recommend these cages and the company to all.
Thanks Bill

I also love my cages. I just call mine baby holders.:D I do love the easy of taking them outside. I can find the babies more often than in larger cages. Best is I never worry if each baby has food - it does.

The benefits of being able to raise the baby's separately are endless. These cages are PERFECT for that purpose. :) I'm going to put together a rack of them that holds 24 cages as soon as I can

Steve,
The furniture moving disks are a perfect way to make drained water flow in a certain direction! I have been using other means, but I like that better! I'll be stopping by Home Depot on the way home...

It is great to see what you have done with the cages. Very impressive!
