Dowel rod ladder

Hello all, I got some dowel rods and wanted to make a ladder for my cham cage like what I've seen in other peoples. The only thing is I don't know how to make one. I was thinking that if I used screws they would rust from the water so I'm at a loss for what to do. Thank you for any idead.

Or you can go to a pet store into the bird section and buy one for under $10 - that's what I did! :D

Sorry, just read that you already had the dowels, so can understand the DIY aspect.

Amazon have these for $10-$15 depending on whether you want the 24/36/48 inch ladders. I have 3 of them in my cage and they work wonders! Search for "north american pet ladder".

Not ladder related but I bought 24" grapevine perches at petco, $10 a pop,got one for up top of my new dragonstrand and one for lower levels to accompany the 20+ feet of vines I have lol

I don't like the look of the ladders. Fresh cut limbs/branches varying in diameter have always appealed to me so much more. To each their own of course.
