Sorry I haven't responded to your inquiries on my thread...soon after laying her eggs I had Isis at the vet due to some unusual rasping while breathing in - turns out she has/had pnuemonia! I was quite shocked and worried but a month into treatment she's doing very well. I had my doubts as her entire left lung was infected but she's a trooper and I think we're over the hump! (fingers crossed!)
As for some of the questions....yes (sigh!), Isis IS a veiled...lol...and I'm not an inexperienced cham keeper, but I was told she was a male when I bought her from a big box store (should know they don't know anything about chams) and when she started getting chubby I just thought I was over-feeding and didn't even think to check her back legs to see if he really was a she! lol...so yah, I feel pretty silly!
Anyways, thought I'd reply...better late than never!
