Doesn't like his basking lamp

I have a 7 month old male Jackson and I live in Chicago so it's humid and I don't always have his basking lamp on. This last time he flared up at it and like flattened his body. Is that a behavioral thing or a health issue

My veiled will flatten at the light to increase the surface area to absorb the heat faster.. my guess is yours is doing the same. Its not that he doesnt like it. If he didn't like it he'd run and hide on the opposite side of the cage..

Take note I have a veiled not a jacksons... So take it with a grain of salt
