Does This Little Guy Look Sick to You?!

I found this picture on a Ball Python Forum and I thought "WOW!" this little dude does not look healthy. The guy said that he didn't know anything about these guys (Obviousely) and that he was just helping out a friend and bought one. I just feel REALLY bad. It was posted about a year ago so I don't have hopes for this little guy. I posted and asked him if he still had him but we'll see what he says.

I don't mean to steal pictures or whatever but... Poor guy.

I doubt the poor cham made it a couple days after the pic was taken.

It's hard to tell just from one picture. However, there are things that don't lie:

1) sunken eyes... (of course, sunken eyes can be caused for various reasons and some of them aren't linked to pathology. However, it's still something to take into account)

2) skin and bones only

3) the head pads are almost inexistant. That means he's dehydrated

4) he's almost laying on the hand of the person. Rare are the chameleons that will do that on their owner, especially when they are that young.

Overall, these 4 things makes me believe that he was in bad shape. Of course, having more pictures and some reports would help. I hope my post gave you a few infos, even though these infos don't always mean any sickness. But together, if i had to bet on something, you already know my opinion!
