Chameleon Info:
Your Chameleon - 1 year old Ambilobe male, I have had him for about 1 month
Handling - 1-2 times a week, usually i clean or need to fix something in his cage
Feeding - I hand feed him crickets every day until he won't eat anymore. Crickets are "large" crickets from local pet store, gutloaded with bug burger, carrots, and oranges, as well as Fluker's calcium dry cricket feed. I give him a couple superworms per week as a treat once he won't eat anymore crickets. I also just got some dino-fuel in that I've been sprinkling on the bug burger.
Supplements - Light dusting of Repashy Calcium Plus every cricket
Watering - I mist him as much as a can, one good long one before I go to work, once when I get home, and once more during the evening, I have a little dripper dripping on one of the plants during the day
Fecal Description - poop is solid, wet looking cylinder, urate is mostly white, sometimes a light orange on one end
History - Purchased locally from a guy who said he got him from Chameleons Northwest
Cage Info:
Cage Type - Cage is a renovated entertainment center, so all wood with walls lined with coconut husk, roughly 2x2x4. 3 wooden walls with a screen door that I never close.
Lighting - Reptisun 5.0 UVB, with a 40 Watt soft white heat lamp, both lights are hanging from the top of the cage, with wire mesh on the underside so Yosh can't get too close
Temperature - Basking spot temp is about 82, going down to mid 60's in the bottom of cage, and at night. I am probably going to change the heat light to a 60w or 80w. The setup was sold to me with a 100W and the basking temp was 100-120, so I changed to a bulb I had sitting around. Temps are measured with an analog guage.
Humidity - I struggle with humidity, during the day usually sits at 40 unless I just misted, then jumps to 60/70. at night stays constant 70. I have a cool air humidifier right beneath the cage
Plants - I bought him a pothos and a "money tree" from Home depot, I tried googling the money tree and I believe it is some sort of chestnut
Placement - Cage is in my room, not much traffic other than me, it sits about a foot off the ground, so the top of the cage is about 5 feet off the ground.
Location - I'm in Juneau, Alaska.
Current Problem - Just doing a check to make sure I'm doing things okay, and that he looks healthy. Kind of worried about his lack of color
