your chameleon looks very very skinny. AS the other member asked, how long have you had your chameleon? What are you feeding him daily? Do you know about all the proper lighting that is required and supplementing and gutloading of your feeders? from the markings it looks like a male. Look at the back feet on the heels, there should be little points or spurs if it is a male.
First off i don't know of its a boy or girl. This is my first chameleon and i don't know if I'm doing the right stuff i just need some thoughts on how to looks.
ive had him for about 3 months and i feed him 5-6 crickets a day and meal worms when i have them. what is the correct amount he should be eating and i mist the leaves in his cage with a spray bottle he doesnt seem
to like it should i get a mist machine?
Cricket's are one of the easiest feeders because you can gutload them with the nutrients and vitamins they need. Waxworms are a good source of calcium and have a higher fat content. Variety is good for Chameleons, especially for picky eaters. Be careful not to put to much food in at one time, also crickets may attack your chameleon. Its best to pinch off their back legs so they aren't able to jump. Adding vegetation is good for their diet also, its helps keep them hydrated as well. Try giving them small amounts of romaine lettuce. My chameleon is a picky eater. He eats apple, romaine lettuce, crickets, mealworms, giant mealworms, butterworms, waxworms, calci-worms(didn't like very much), zebraworms, silkworms and pinkie mice(wait until your's is older). The dripper system is good. They like to drink from moving water. I have a water fall in my cage to have constant moving water. Live plants are good also. My chameleon loves the geranium with either pink or red flowers. He also liked eating hibiscus flowers. Here are some good that I use: http://www.flchams.com/safe_plant_list.asp

i dont exactly know how old he is but at the pet store said he was a juevinile vailed chameleon. i have had him for 3 months. he was skinny when i bought him, and i think the pet store was under feeding him so he wouldnt get to big amd gave the wrong information about feeding. Ive seen some of those water falls and they look pretty cool if i were to get one of those would I still need to mist. I have plastic sucktion cup plants that hang on the wall that he likes to sit on cuz its ul by the lamp, thats where i mist on the walls and leaves and ive seen him drink of the walls. I put crickets and stuff in a dishin different spots so he gets some "excersize".
