You only mist every other day? You really need to be misting at least 4 Times a day especially with female chams.

In blue I gave one or two suggestions.

She will usually situate herself and catch the mist and clean her eyes if thirsty and I don't just directly spay her the whole time when she does this. Other times she gets under leaves.. her urates are clear and white after dried. my crickets are always provided fresh veg and provide a lot of moisture I would think. I know this isn't a lot of watering but I would like some more input:) She seems fine and enjoyed some sunlight today in her trees with a few treats.

I know, sorry bout that just didnt think it had a good title.. thank you for the suggestions! she never seems thirsty though. should I still mist at least a couple times a day even though poo is pretty moist and white urates?

Yes. Besides having water to drink, the misting increases the humidity which helps with shedding.

FYI - in 13 months I have only seen my cham drink twice. They may seem uninterested when you are misting but they do drink when you're not watching.

She hates when I mist unless she situates herself like i said but I will up it up a bit more.. I thought veileds were from a more desert/dry place anyways??

Yes and no, they have high temps but it does have humidity because there are many lagoons where I am sure the chameleons hang out because they are a breeding ground for mosquitos and other bugs. About 60% most of the time is what you want. You do want to let the cage dry out between mistings so you don't get mold but you do want to spray her, even if it is for a minute a few times a day, to get the leaves wet so she can drink. I have bought a mist king which works great since I am always working. I have it set to go off for 1 minute 5 times a day.

Maybe ill just mist the leaves of pothos since that's where she seems to lap it up from but in the desert its dry heat. Ill def get a guage tho for humidity.
