Does anyone have this problem

Hi everyone, so Indy is about 2 months old and we've had her for 2 weeks and I'm the only one who feeds her daily, ensures she has adequate hydration via fogger/misting/dripper (if needed), but she hates my guts and knows that I'm the only one who is feeding her but she enjoys my wife more than she enjoys me, is it because I'm a male and she's a female ? Am I crazy? I talk to her in a sweet loving voice but she won't come out when I need to clean her enclosure but once my wife enters the room she takes seconds and comes out on her own 😂

They can not hear you speaking so it is not that. If there is a big size difference between you and your wife this can be impacting it. In prior threads you have stated she was a juvenile. She is actually still in that hatchling stage. I would recommend posting pics of your set up and doing a husbandry review as babies this young do have some differences in husbandry needs vs a 4 month old.

They can be affected by the colour and pattern of the clothes you wear. Sometimes I think they will even see a facial difference in people and react to that. I’m not sure if there are even other things that make them react to one person differently than another.

I did see one graceful chameleon that reacted very strongly to many people it saw but was fine with me years ago.

Hard to say….but I’ve seen it happen.

I'm not trying to be argumentative but they absolutely can hear; just in limited frequencies and it's as much the vibrations as anything but their register is between 200-600hz and people speak 85-300hz and singing can reach 1000hz so it's not out of the realm of them recognizing or sensing sound patterns. I can assure you my guy notes when I sing to him; he acknowledges this through head tilts and him coming to me because he recognizes it as feeding time as well now.

Right vibrations but not the words coming out of your mouth.

Well she's 5'8 and I'm 6'1 so not entirely a big difference but I do crouch below because I've read they don't like to be at eye level since they can consider you a threat so I crouch down just below her.
