so, picasso, my veiled cham i rescued 2 weeks ago still has a swollen eye... quick catch up for those who havent read my other thread: i rescued him from a lady that had been doing everything wrong in the book. he has something wrong with his eye and is currently being treated for a possible absess. he has fluid around the eye as well as the eye itself is larger than it should be.

okay, now that we are all caught up :D he is on meds right now and the size of the eye is going down it seems, but there is still fluid around the eye. i came across something called nasolacrimal duct blockage while surfing the web looking for answers to why he could possibly have fluid on his eye still but i havent really found why or how it gets there and how to cure it. the vet made a small inscision on his eyelid to help it drain, but im thinking that if his duct is blocked, it would build back up.... am i totally wrong in thinking this? i was thinking of bringing it up to the vet but id like some more info on it before i ask about it, maybe how it is cured or how it happens. can it happen as a result of the absess?

thank you guys!

Well...I don't know, but I do know that you can print out what you have found, bring it to the vet and present it as an idea. The vet works for you (that's why you pay him/her). If you want that possibility looked into, then he/she should look into it for you.
