so i finnaly seen Thomas (my new fischers) eat. i had to offer him some medium crickets instead of large. he ate 2 for now. but when he got the cricket in his mouth, he held it with his hands for a few a little bit lol. it was cute and quite mannerably proper lol. is this known for chameleons? he certainly is a gently man lol

Lol how cute! Sounds like watching a squirrel eat or something. I've never seen mine do that.

There was a time though that Othello caught a leaf along with a cricket and was trying to get the leaf out of his mouth with one hand. But I guess they don't have good hand-eye coordination lol so he was just waving it around, poor thing. I had to swoop in and gently pull the leaf out of his mouth before he happily chewed and swallowed the cricket. What a chamelemum (Miss Lily!) does for her kids :p

My female panther will do this if I give her an adult dubia. She will rip the roach in half with her claws and her mouth since it is so large, chew and swallow the part in her mouth, then eat the other half after holding it in one hand for a couple of minutes.
