Do chams shed before they lay their eggs?

I just want to find out, my veiled female is shedding now and I suspect that she is close to laying her eggs. I just want to know is it a sign that the laying is close if she is shedding or is she just shedding cause it is time to shed?

No. I don't think it is. It probably is just a coincidence.

My first female shed before she laid, but I don't know if that was because she was going to lay or it was just her time to shed.

I have never had a female shed before laying. Mine have always waited a month or so before shedding. I felt she was re-energizing. Other then that, I don't really know.
