Hey guys I am preparing to get ready for my little ambanja from kammers in a few months and I am trying to save some cash and I have been looking at the DIYcages, my question is with their lighting canopy

would this house the UVB/UVA well enough or would I need separate hoods?

I am accepting any other suggestions on decently priced lighting systems as well:)

how big is your cage for your new cham? will you be putting him in a adult size cage right away?

if you're getting an adult size cage for your cham, you want this one. i use this for all my adult male cages. i put a reptisun 5.0 and a 6500k light in this hood. you can get a zoomed reptisun 5.0 just about anywhere. depending on your location, find an online store that is close so you pay too much for shipping.

I havent purchased a cage yet I am still searching around trying to get a rough guesstemate of how much its going to cost me. I was looking at the SC-2 standard mid sized cage 30x16x16 do you think that hood you linked would be too large for it? I am on the west coast ill just keep doing a little more research on those bulbs

It'll be big and just hang out on the sides of the cage. Shouldn't be a problem unless someone nudges or something and it falls. I started all my males in their adult cages...2-2-4. Since youre on the west coast. LLL would be a good place to buy at.
