diy feeder cups?

So I've been building my cham's new enclosure with a built-in removable feeder cup, and my original intent was for crickets as primary feeders, but after research Dubia roaches seem like the best option. Just curious if they will climb the screen backing (sunny d style feeding cup, lined with screen in the back) like crickets would, or if I need to reevaluate this?

Dubias tend to be a lot less active than crickets in a feeder cup. They tend to bunched together and stay pretty motionless. For some chameleons this is not a problem, for others who prefer more motion to locate prey, it is. Trial and error will be needed in deciding what is best for your cham.

I would give it a go. Just gotta see what works for you and your cham. If a Cham is hungry enough, in my limited experience, he will eat. Now that I feed my Cham every other day (he's around 11 months), he will more readily take the food item from my hand.
