Here's how it looks after a second plant. I'm still not happy with it and may do some more rearranging tomorrow.

Let me know if you have any questions. I'll be glad to help you any time.

thats a hearty pothos, all the ones i have been finding around hear have been rather small. I have only looked in home depot and lows because they were all that was open on the holiday. There is a garden center near me that i want to get over to tommorow or wed if i get out of work early enough. I cut some branches and baked them today. I also picked up some more fake vines to snake around the cage.

One fast question, How do you guys handle drainage in these cages. Do you find that a few layers of paper towel/ news paper is suficiant if changed daily? I feel like the bottom of the cage is going to be soaked without substrate after a good spraying?

i have three pothos in one of my enclosures and paper towels daily arent really a pain...... i find that the pothos really require alot of water daily so the leaves do a good job holding on to it, therefore less water....and less paper towel changing. just my opinion. :)

David,
i had trouble finding a decent sized pothos at garden centers also. i wanted one with some long leafy runners to trail around inside the cage. i decided to check out the floral center in the Kroger close to me, they had several to choose from and weren't expensive at all.... i came home with a nice bushy one with runners about 4 feet long for $12... :D

Sounds like you made out Lisa, im not so sure what Kroger is, but I know i dont have any around hear :p. But you hit it on the head i want a nice bushy one with good vines already. The ones i have been finding would not even reach to the top of my cage.

Hey David,

Kroger is just a chain grocery store here here i live.. i think any grocery that has a floral department may have some..

good luck finding one, they do look like they make geat climbing/hiding and drinking foliage for our babies that are coming soon!!!! ;)

I had a hard time finding pothos too. The ones at walmart were just tiny, and I got one at Lowe's for $10 that was a decent size but the vines are all short. Hopefully it grows fast. Walmart had a good sized schleffera for $10 that I'm pretty happy with though.
