DIY Cage

Do you want it that black?
Yes… 😂 You can never have too much black in my opinion. I like that the cage will all be black so it’ll make the plants pop. Here’s the palm I bought, I set it in there to give you guys an idea of the vibe:

So I sound crazy but it’s the next day and it’s hard and doesn’t smell too bad at all!!! Like super dry. And it shouldn’t need another coat it looks thick. I poured just enough water to cover the bottom. Now if when I come back in however so long and find a dry spot I know it ain’t holding. But if the water is still here and there’s no wet spots we’re good. Then I’ll wait another day or so before adding branches if the smell is totally gone.

I also realized it gives a cool mirroring effect

Yes it’s a Tillandsia, if you tell me it’s something else I’ll get angry so don’t do that it’s a Tillandsia. I took botany classes I know what I’m talking about.

They collect water in their crown or absorb it from the air. They’re AMAZING!!! Lots of people say they’re easy to take care of but they aren’t. Most people get them and they dry out and are still green so they think they’re alive but they aren’t they need lots of humidity.
