I live in florida so discoids are the best type of roach I can do...Nobody wants to sell dubia to me

so my question is... Has anyone had experience breeding them? How long does it take. Is it worth it?

any help would be great. thanks.

Treat them just like dubia (live bearing, cant climb) with these 2 changes:
Up the protein to cricket gut load level (double the dubia amount, 20-30% protein)
Dont over populate. Like crickets they will munch on each other if they are not well fed.

They will breed just as fast as dubia, but there is a 2-3 week time delay from nymph to adult till they start breeding, while dubia will breed as soon as they molt to adults.

PS they do get huge, the males weigh as much as a female dubia.

They are pretty much the same as dubia except legal in FL and a little bigger. I feed them exactly the same as my dubia but I do keep them less crowded because of minor wing biting (it doesnt affect them much if at all though.)
