Direct sunlight

I heard taking the chams to bask outside in real sunlight is good for them so I was wondering would setting up the cage inside in direct sunlight be a good idea? Of if not maybe move it to the sunlight everynow and then be a good idea? I'm a former reefer and direct sun light was a big no no but this could be different

UVB wont pass through glass, so you would have to open a window and make sure the chameleon couldnt get out. Sunlight is great for them! Just make sure they have shade so they dont get too hot. Also remember that if they get regular sunlight (without anything blocking the UVB from getting to the animal) you will want to cut back on the D3 supplements so they dont overdose.
