I was wondering what will be the best place to place the sensor for digital thermometer..

I was wondering what will be the best place to place the sensor for digital thermometer..

i have 2 digital thermometer.
One is put on the hottest spot of the cage (to get the basking spot temp)
and the other is at the furthest away from the basking spot (to get the ambient temp)
