I've been using the cheap digital humidity and temperature monitors like you get at Wal Mart for $7.00 and would like to get something better. What would you recommend?

Howdy Mike,

I recommend adding a low cost infrared digital thermometer "temp gun" style unit that you can closely aim at your chameleon's skin to get the critter's actual skin/body temp.

The PE-2 is good enough with its 6:1 D:S ratio.

Don't be misled by the fancy LED pointing light. It isn't doing anything more than just helping you aim .
