I just went to go check on my female panther right now and she is still digging. its pitch dark in her room. I dont know if i should let her be or leave the light on or what? Can someone give me any thoughts?

i think mine is gravid and im worried how can i tell if she is how did you know and i have no clue on what you shoul do im sorry maybe mist so she can get hydrated

Well I came home once today around 1pm and fed her 1 cricket(she wouldnt eat anymore). Then I gave her some water. She drank for about 3-5 minutes then i went back to work.

I got back home around 6:30pm and found her digging. I left her and went to go back to check on her right before I made this thread. She could have been digging for the last 6 hours or so

Normally, they want dig all night. Mine started digging around 5 pm and went to sleep in the hole around 1 am. By 7 am she was back up digging and by 8:30 she had covered the hole and was laying on top of the soil limp. I picked her up and put her on a branch, gave her a heavy misting and she drink, then I fed her some crickets dusted with allot of calcium.

It's a good sign that she drank this morning. Give her some privacy. She may quite digging if she see you looking .

I have a container in the cages of all my egglaying females so that they can dig when they need to. I don't move them to an egglaying bin until they have started digging.

If the chameleon might be getting ready to lay eggs, don't bother her...give her some peace...just feed and water her when she is in the branches (not digging). Do not disturb her when she is digging and don't let her see you watching her when she's digging.

Shes up in the branches now. Tomorrow morning im going to mist her down and feed her. She looked really tired when she was done.

She had dirt all over her face and feet. crazy little girl.

Shes doing great! eating everything i feed her.

I feed her 2-3 dubias a day. not full grown, maybe about an inch or more in size.
