My veiled chameleon has been digging for a while now and I don't know what it is. Nothing has changed and he has dark colors. I did some personal research and it told me he was stressed cause he also sits close to the branch. I need help I don't wanna loose him

It would be very helpful if you filled out the "how to ask for help" sticky you can find at the top of the health clinic page. It will be easier for people to help you.

How old is she? Do you have a laying bin for her to lay eggs in? Females lay eggs without a male even being around.

Owner stated that veil in question is a male. maybe a second opinion of the sex is needed. please post some pix of your veil's casque and rear feet (rear view pix from behind him/her and close up). If male: could be stressed and/or adjusting to a new home. If female: indeed could be looking to lay. need pix of cage also. how long in your care. we need more background info, for a correct diagnosis and/or solution(s) to your cham's issue.

I found out it is a female. She layed her eggs in her cage this morning. It was beautiful. Are the eggs good? Should I incubate them? Even though she doesn't have a male around. Oh and thankyou guys for the help lol

If you got her recently and she could possibly have been with a male, incubate them and you'll know if they're fertile within the first few weeks depending on if they go bad. Be sure to give her tons of water and high calcium dusted food. She'll be thirsty and hungry

Well she kept digging next to the plant we have in her cage and I kept filling the holes back up confused. So last night I had picked her up. She felt really plump. So I gave it a shot to see if maybe its a girl and about 1 hr later there was about 45 eggs. After she was done I gave her a quick bath with warm water and q tips to get the dirt out of her eyes. She opened them and we took the eggs out and put them in some warm moist soil. She's doing fine now. Hungry as hell lol.
