diet for my chameleon?

ok so can dubia roaches be the main food source for a veiled chameleon? i find dubia roaches much more easier to keep and stay live plus have more nutrients. any opinions?? btw how many large dubia roaches does an adult veiled chameleon eat a day or evey other day? thannx! (i still dont have the chameleon but am getting a male 5 month old one!:)) oh and can you give me a ratio of how many to feed it? like for example how many appropriate sized baby roaches should a 5 month old eat? daily or every other day :):):)

Welcome to the forums. I keep veileds and they are awesome chameleons with allot of personality. It's best to use a variety of well gut loaded feeders. At 5 months old I would feed 6 to 8 feeders of appropriate size everyday. I never feed adult roaches. IMO they are just to large and could hurt my chameleon on the way down. It's recommend not to feed anything wider than the space between their eyes. I'm attaching my blog for new keepers below.
