Didn't know pooping was such a chore

I was watching Piko yesterday, and was puzzled why she'd gone down to the lowest branch of her plant, away from the basking light. There was no food wandering around, so I kept an eye on her. Hours went by it seems, while i did other stuff and then would check on her periodically. She was just pacing back a nd forth in chameleon fashion, colours a little darker than normal. Then she was holding her tail over one side of the branch, but stiffly, a look of intense concentration on her face. Then it dawned on me, she's trying to poop!
She always goes in about the same spot, but I didn't know she climbed down to do it, I just thought she pooped from wherever she was at the time.
I stopped watching her, and went out to run errands. When I checked on her again, she was back up at the top, bright colours, smiling, and a humungous poop and urates down in the plant pot!
If I'd known it was such hard work, I would have brought her a pile of Readers Digestes to read while she waited!
4 months, and I'm still learning about my little girl!

My panther hates to poop in his "house". He will scratch at the door of his cage and pace frantically wanting to go on the free range then immediately poops on my floor. Then he gives me this look like "What is the problem? You have more floor space than I do."

I hope Piko lit a match and did a courtesy flush.:eek::eek:
