Did it AGAIN-- treefrogs ugggggg

So I was not into the looking mode but opportunity stepped on "My foot" and just had to.

I no longer can buy juvie or adult animals anymore---personal issue (just don't get the same enjoyment anymore). So when I found someone selling tadpoles, which I have raised many time and still have adult frogs. Had to JUMP on the opportunity (eggs would have been my choice but young tads are just as cool).
the pics are of the new addition to the family as of yesterday.
13 White's Treefrog tadpoles
2 Whites's blue phase froglets (solid color green as baby) 1/2"
2 Whites's low snowflake phase froglet ( green with white specks) 1/2"

I think there should be a frog journey, so I can share my daily activities.
1. up early doing water change 50 to 75% after the night feedings.
2. fresh spirulina along with (boiled and frozen) lettuce and carrots.
3. let them pig out for the day.
4. before bed doing another water change and syphon out poop
Note: The water changes can be done easier with a small aquarium filter or mini tank set-up. I enjoy the extra cleaning process but if I get busy will change things over to different cleaning technique.

Tadpoles are easy and require little attention because if the water gets a little dirty, they are capable of gulping air from the surface.

The majority of public education teaches life cycles in second grade, so this is probably just a refresher, if WE have forgotten how cool they are.

Then again in High School in some science anatomy class (if they still do this form of education).

And in college anatomy class (Lab usually) using pigs, cats, cows and other animals (if they still use, once living critters).

Thanks for doing this here! My fondest memories as a child was collecting tadpoles and watching them grow into froglets. Just something about watching their legs grow first and then when you see the little arms sprout you know it won't be long before they transform from water to land.

I grew up San Gabriel Valley so it wasn't like the place was jumping with a ton of amphibian varieties, mostly Pacific Tree frogs, Western Toads and invasive Bull Frogs, no newts but sometimes terrestrial salamanders. My parents and siblings never understood my facination with collecting amphibians, lol

I hear ya! I am closer to 60 than 50 and am STILL fascinated by all this stuff. I am into the -day by day -changes and find it so interesting.
Here are some close ups I just took. I think I see the front leg pockets. Still to early to tell, but soon.

Here is today and we can now see the formation of the TOES! Oh my! I have never gotten this detailed with my photos before.. So enjoying the new stuff. WOW!
