Diapause

I have been using that handy Search button to try to find the answers to my questions, but many of the links posted on old threads are leading me to dead ends ("Page not found," etc). I'm looking for scholarly papers about diapause in veiled and panther chameleon eggs. I'm very interested in the subject and I would love to read some more information (including any recent research) from reputable sources. Any links or suggestions on where to look would be greatly appreciated.

Also, for the experienced breeders out there, do you intentionally induce and break the diapause period for your eggs? I have 36 veiled eggs that have been incubating at room temps (67-71F range) since December 31st. From the info I have gathered so far, I am considering waiting about 3 more weeks and then raising their temps to something like 76-78. For anyone who has done this, do you recommend it? Is that about right or should I raise them a little more than that, perhaps up to 80? I have read that it's roughly an 8-10 degree temp increase that breaks the diapause period for chameleons in the wild. Also, does it make a difference to raise the temps gradually versus just bringing them up to, say, 77 one day after they've been staying around 70?

One final inquiry. I'm expecting panther eggs in about a month and I'm trying to decide how I want to incubate them. The three options I'm considering are:
1) Same as my veiled eggs - 69ish for 8 weeks, then raise to high 70s
2) Start with lower temps, perhaps 62-65 for 8 weeks, then raise to mid 70s
3) Initial warm period around 75 for 6 weeks, temp drop to around 65 for 8 weeks, then raise back to mid-high 70s

Who has tried any of these methods, and what were your results?

Thanks!
