hallenhe Avid Member Nov 6, 2008 #3 Anyone who thinks chameleons' main purpose for color changing is camouflage needs to look at sleeping panthers - they stand out like neon signs. I suppose they may be a bit subtler in the dark of a Madagascar forest.
