Are Desert Rose plants toxic to chameleons if they dont ingest any parts but just climb on them. The trunk has nonscratch marks from climbing on it. Thanks
so the first thing when I google that is that it's poisonous ... why bother putting it in leave it next to the enclosure for looks maybe? but it best to remove it also there are several safe plant lists available in the search and site resources to help identify plants that will work best for building a safe enclosure for your chameleon
Desert rose is found in Yemen (on island of Socotra) and Madagascar, however I don’t know if chameleons live in them or if they are safe. They are a more arid plant and I don’t think they’d do well with all of the water we mist into our chameleon enclosures. However, I’d be safe and just not even try it.

There are many other excellent fast-growing vines on the lists. Pothos, Wandering Jew, and some Philodendrons. I have all 3 in my enclosure along with several "trees" (centerpiece plants) and my little guy loves & climbs on them all.
