Dehydrated

Hi my chameleon is dehydrated and he won’t drink water. I tried to get him to drink but I can’t. I’ve should himself in the mirror so he would gap at himself and he didn’t. I was hoping I could so I could spray water in his mouth. What should I do.

You should never spray water in their mouth because they can aspirate it.

DO NOT SPRAY WATER IN HIS MOUTH. It can do more harm than good. There airway is also located at the front of the mouth and you can get the water in there. Get some hornworms, there great for hydration. Or start running a fogger at night for extra hydration.

Are you away on vacation? Eyes sunken in does not only mean dehydrated.

No I’m just at my moms. What does it mean. This is him.

His eyes look good to me... He may be sucking them in slightly due to the camera being in his face. But he does not look dehydrated.

When I was there they where white. I think I’m just so scared that he was sick that I’m I’m scared that he is sick.

Your dad is actually doing it the way we recommend 2-3 times a day. The cage needs to dry out during the day. So misting every 2 hours does not allow it to do this.

Ok I highly advise you fill this out with detail. copy paste it into your reply. And include pics of the entire cage lights down. This way we can double check that you have all the correct husbandry for him.
