Does he seem dehydrated to you guys? Or is it just me being paranoid, seems like his eyes are sunken. (Getting ready to shed so he's cranky)

No he seems fine and very healthy! A way to check if he is dehydrated is by pinching his skin (On his arm or stomach) If the skin retracts back immediately he is fine....if the skins stays bunched up where you pinches then he needs more water.

Yeah, I've heard of that but I'm too afraid of hurting him lol. He'd probably have a fit. Thanks though, I get so worried. :notworthy:

You won't hurt him a promise---just gently squeeze his skin to check. Also if he is starting to shed I would mist a little more often and offer more water---they need it more to help shed smoothly.

I know they do this with humans, but i have never heard of pinching a chameleons skin to see if he is hydrated. His eyes looks fine in the pictures you posted.

@ctodaro Yeah, I mist regularly, and have a drip system for him when I'm not home. He got a warm bath a few days ago to help him pass his sperm plugs. (Yes, it does work) thanks tho, posted a few more just in case! This would be his 3rd shed.

@carol5208 I have actually read it somewhere on an article about identifying dehydration.
