dehydrated baby veiled chameleon

i mist for 5 minutes each time and it stays wet for 15 minutes or so never timed how long it stay wet. humidity never gets higher then 80%

that sounds fine then.

it sounds like the light is hurting her eyes.

so adjust that and see what happeens.
also, try adding some more foliage in the cage for her

ill switch the uvb and day light around so i can get a better read of temp. and ill go buy a 50 watt light today

sounds like a plan.

if you have any bulbs in your house you can use those too.

you dont need to buy an expensive 'basking' bulb..
its a waste of money.

i have a large hanging plant left over that im not using. ill find an empty area and put it. how crowded should it be in there.

i think i may have a 60 watt bulb layin around some where. ill switch them soon. if she is dehydrated what would be best way to help with that

what plant is it?

it shoudl be crowded enough that she cant be seen every second of the day.. but not so crowded she cant move around.

as for dehydration- just long long mists.

also, if shes tolerant of it..
you can do the shower method.

take a plant, put it on the floor of you shower

aim shower head at wall, so water bounces off wall onto plnat in a fine mist.

make sure water is warm,

put her on the plant, and watch her... maybe close the shower curtain so she cant see you, but you can see her. and just let her sit there for like 20 minutes.

its one of those fake hangin plants u buy at the pet stores thats pretty bushy. i could use that in the shower. but would take up space in the cage it would take up a whole corner and drape over the vine to.. and thanks so much for advice ive been on the computer and trying every thing possible and keepin my eyes on her for 2 days

Ok then the plant is fine.

if it takes you several minutes to locate her in the cage.. its a good thing
she feels safe.

and you are welcome- trust me, we all have the new parent syndrome- no matter how many chams we own.

she the 3rd one ive owned and never had issues with the other two. and i keep gettin them cuz love them over all other lizards. i changed her to a 60 watt house bulb and temp is around 82 now. and like u said its goin to take a while to find best spot for the plant. took almost an hour to set the cage the way it is.

It happens.

some are just more sensitive than others.

IVe got 34 veiled babies, and they all act different,

they sure do. just like havin real kids. house light bulb has dropped her temp down to 80 degrees. and misted her and she turned back to her bright green color but has both eyes shut. i found her rubbing one of them on a vine

SHe could have something in her eyes.

the shower should help get whatever is in her eyes out

she could also be starting a shed.

and yes. the babies on chaotic are all mine.

I bred my male veiled Kink with my female veiled Lily and have 34 little green veiled hatchlings.

they r some beautiful chameleons. which could explain her lack of eatin. ill shower her soon. r u goin to sell them
