Deep sleep?

So Loki has been eating awesome and drinking....active during the day and sleeping at night....good color, growing....now today he was acting totally normal and normally light go out at 8pm and he is awake till then....tonight he was all tucked in asleep by 6:30 and so asleep that I touched him and he didn't open his eyes....I tried to pick him up and he opened his eyes but once I took my hand out he closed them again....he is shedding for the first time since I got him about a month ago so could that be why he is tired? Should I be worried about him??!!

This is a pic of him from yesterday

It is not uncommon for them to put themselves to bed shortly before lights out. It is probably dark outside by that time and even though they have lights on in the cage they somehow know it is night outside! As long as he is eating and drinking normally, I would not worry too much about this. You may want to adjust your lights off time to coincide with when he wants to go to sleep. If he would start sleeping in the middle of the day then that is an indication that something is amiss.

My chams head to their roosts about an hour before lights out. Once the heat lamps go out they start making their way to bed.

In the wild they don't wake up easy either. Usually grabbing at the branch's just caused them to open their eyes and they closed them again pretty quick once the branch stopped moving.

Thank you for the reply's!!!

This morning he was back to his usual self....he was up and busy hunting down breakfast when I left for work lol....I'm just paranoid that he is going to die, I have no reason to be since he looks and acts healthy...but he is my first baby and I am so attached to him...

Thanks again!!!!!

Yes it was already dark out....its dark by 5pm now...so it was pitch black by 6:30pm and he isn't right next to the window but it is within his view...
