I post this at the end of every contest:
There is always room for improvement, so if anyone has a suggestion please create a new thread in the photo contest or feedback forums. If you prefer to remain anonymous you can send me an email or private message.

I'm very open to discussion of the contest rules. However, I don't think the December contest thread is the place to do it.

just a few side notes

I post this at the end of every contest:

if you read through the rules and the threads, you'll also notice that it is a constant discussion of so many good photos and difficulty narrowing them down for various reasons....however, in every thread, as mentioned, there is also an offer for recommendations individually on what could have been improved by individuals and in each submission, which really....is not a requirement of the judges in the first place.... just something they do as an offer of assistance and good nature

like mentioned earlier as well, no one is perfect and everyone's level of "expertise" is different and not everyone votes as a "technical" polling forum member....

finally, we are all here for helping one another, responding with help and advice, a common tie of cham "addictions" and even when upset or frustrated or whatever the case may be, it honestly does not take that long to just stop for a minute and regain composure and be respectful to one another.... and it is the full right of the moderators to remove anything that creates hostility and defeats the purpose or detracts from the integrity and overall intent for this forum..... while $50 for physical purchases may be "a lot" in one respect....the benefit, atmosphere and respect for one another is worth far more than what has been displayed in posts both in this thread and others and it takes all of us to recognize and make an effort to maintain the essence of what this whole forum was created for....

(just my 2cents on a soapbox)

Thanks very much for your support, Steelhead. Just so anyone who comes into this thread late will have some context, here's the photo. The thread makes no sense without it.
