Daytona Hotel Deals

The queen of travel deals (i.e. me) has noticed that all the hotels in Daytona by and around the NRBE show in August are on super sale right now. Lots of great deals and there are many really expensive hotels that are as much as 50% off. PM me if you need any information on a specific place or are looking to score a great deal for the show.

Example (where I'm staying): 2 bedroom/2 full bath/fully stocked kitchen/living room w/pull out sofa/right on the beach/2 blocks from the show......reg. price $250/night......on sale for $147/night.
 
The tricky part is getting a room, and keeping it a secret from everyone.... Last time I was there, Mike dropped off a bunch of people from Chameleon Forums, then left....

Did I just say that out loud?

Booking my flight tonight probably.... No hotel plans yet.
 
Josh got Mike back for that though, Tyler. We ran up a huge tab at the bar and he got the waitress to not charge us in exchange for going to the FL Chams booth for a free chameleon the next day.

Seems like that sounds familiar. Best thing of the weekend was Josh's shout to Pam out the 10th story window of the hotel. I won't repeat it; there's kids here :)

I stayed at a place called "The Shores" a few years ago which I think was to the South a few miles was really nice, and cost wasn't bad. There was another place I stayed the year before that (2004?) that smelled like a wet dog. Hilton is decent, but a touch overrated.

Hence why I didn't say exactly where I was staying. ;)

Yep, the Hilton is overrated and way too loud and obnoxious.

LOL... I guess it depends why you're there. If meeting up with an exotic mistress of some sort, I wouldn't stay at the Hilton. But, the Hilton does have the convienence factor going for it if you're there to talk about lizards.

Hilton for me.........

It's the Hilton for me due to the convenience factor. I booked it months ago. I spent no time in the room other than a shower last time I stayed there.....I guess I may have been classified as one of the loud and obnoxious guests. Stayed up all night talking and laughing on the patio below the hotel. There was a bit of alcohol involved too. I don't sleep much in general and can't sleep at all when I'm torqued up over fun stuff. The day long plane travel to Florida and then another day back home is all the sleep I need. Thank you Hubby for the first class upgrade!

Yay, Catherine! If you're coming that far, you might as well do it in comfort. Hey, when I come out your way next, if your hubby wants to throw me an upgrade, tell him he can feel free to do so. Or he can send me a limo to take me down to Daytona (I'm driving down). :D

Geez...I wish you would come this way! Are you by any chance coming in October for the Puyallup show?
