Hello everyone, i hope you all had a good labor day

so, i have a female panther chameleon that i like to keep outside as much as possible, so that she can get natural sunlight. I just read a post about someones chameleon getting overheated so it made me wonder...

what are safe temp to be leaving my chameleon outside during the day and night?
also, if and when she is outside does it matter if the sun is constantly beaming down on her? my neighbors backyard has a huge tree which gives most of my backyard a shade but the sun does beam down at different spots in different hours of the day

thats her, about a month ago, i would post new pictures but they are all too big for this site =/

anyone able to help? i rather get advice here then somewhere else, at least here i know people care and love their chameleons

If there is an area of sun just make sure there is also plenty if shade for her to retreat to. I don't keep my boys outside when temps are over 90. I also mist several times for several minutes while they are out in the heat. With a high ambient temp they can't really cool down like they can indoors. Keeping them in the shade is important as direct sun can be much hotter than the ambient temp. Maybe others will provide more info.
