Current Problem – I noticed a darkish circle around one of his scales on his casque, it’s not raised or anything... He has his 6th month appt tomorrow, but I just wanted to see if anyone had any insight on what it could be and if it’s something I should be concerned about. Thanks in advance!

The 1st picture shows the spot when he's outside and the 2nd was taken inside

Jasper had a dark spot on the end of his snout for a few weeks, but it went away a few days after he shed. Has this dark spot persisted through a shed?

I just noticed it today... Went back through some most recent pics and it appeared after his most recent shed... Do you think it's something I should be concerned about?

You could ask the vet tomorrow to do a scraping and see if that gives you a clue. Looks very superficial what ever it is. It may clear up on its own. Definitely monitor it. As JCarlsen mentioned it may be superficial enough to be sloughed during the next shed.

Thanks, JoeVet! He's still active; eating, pooping, drinking, and sleeping well. Hopefully it's nothing, but i'll find out tomorrow and keep you posted!
