Dark/Greyish spot on Panther

Hey guys,

My panther chameleon has this greyish/dark spot on his body that looks similar to a shed, but it has been there for a decent amount of time. The temps/humidity are good, also he has shown no sign of discomfort, as he is eating and basking and moving around as he normally does.

Here are a couple pics of him, any help is appreciated,

p.s sorry for the lighting; he was under the basking lamp and the brightness was too much for the iPhone haha

I can't really tell much from those pics. How long has it been there? Are the edges of the spot puffy or inflamed? Is the spot getting larger?

been there a couple months now, it may have gotten a bit bigger (or I am imagining it!), I assumed it was a thermal burn...The dark spot in a bit inflamed but it is mostly flush with the rest of his skin.
