after mating two days ago, my female panther cham has been very dark. Is this normal? She is roaming around her cage, eating, and drinking as she normally would.. I Just wanted to know if its normal for the female to be a really dark and black/orange color

thanks

sorry for the double post.. i figured it should be in the breeding section.. so discard the other post please

I apologize in advance cuz I have no answer to your question. But I'm curious as well because I bred my Jackson a few months ago and now and lately she's been dark in her cage. Wondering if maybe she's uncomfortable or scared or something that's causing her to stress out. Be nice to know.

That usually means breeding was a success.

I have had infertile eggs though after getting this (even after having the male and female together), so it could also mean that she is just done being in the mood for breeding whether she is fertilized or not.

BUT most of the time it just means breeding has occurred and she is no longer accepting fertilization from males.
