I just got a male veiled chameleon saturday. he's captive bread born in june. he's shedding and now im noticing his eyes are darker than the rest of his body which is light green while he sleeps. he also is falling asleep early. yesterday was around 7pm and today was around 4:30pm. is this normal?

Hello, maybe he is just getting used to his new house, they can be a bit funny when settling in. Sleeping during the day is not usual though, maybe it would help if you can fill out the 'how to ask for help' form -

Handling - haunt yet. tried to get him once yesterday but he hissed so i stopped
Feeding - he's eating a ton. i went through 30 small crickets in 2.5 days. i give him about 5 in the morning then a couple more in the evening. i got the medium size ones yesterday and he had about 10 in one day.
Supplements - flunkers calcium with d3. i've only used it twice. about every other day is what if trying to do.
Watering - i mist him about every 30 mins for a few seconds while im home.when im gone i put some ice cubes on top the cage. usually if i spray water next to his month he'll lean into it and drink straight from the bottle as i spray.
Fecal Description - he's only gone to the bathroom twice the i've seen. both times one large dark harder piece and some white watery-ness around it.never been tested for parasites that i know of.
History - he's captive breed. the place that i got him from said he was don't good while they had him and was real heathly.
Cage Info:
Cage Type - all screen. 24x12x26
Lighting - i have the zilla UVB light on during the day(not sure of the wattage). i use day basking light by "all living things" 75 watts and the flunkers night bulb 75 watts. I try to switch them around 7am and 7pm or as close to that as i can.
Temperature - 80-95F. nights is around 75-80F. i use a flunkers thermometer.
Humidity - its usually right around 60%. i mist and use ice while no one is home to mist while im out.(which isn't often)
Plants - fake plants.
Placement - its on top of a built in dresser i have. the top is about 6ft high.
Location - northeast ohio.US

Ok, a few things to mention for now. Temps are a bit high, 88F at the bask spot is enough for an adult male, 80 is plenty for your youngster. You need a calcium powder which is phosphorous-free (no d3) for everyday use. Gutloading is important for healthy Chameleons. All of this is covered in the caresheet I posted.
On to more important/ urgent stuff - Could you find out the model/ wattage of your uv bulb? Is it a coil or tube? Sometimes the coils are too strong and can cause eye trouble (tube uv bulbs at 5.0 are best). You don't need a light at night - dark is much better for sleeping
- Veileds are healthier if they get a good 10 degree drop in temps at night too, so mostly you don't even need any heat at night......

Il try keeping the night light off tonight and see how he is tomorrow.I have to check the store for phosphorous free supplements too. thanks

Hang around the forum for a bit and you'll hear some very bad things about getting advice from a pet shop.....Your uv bulb might be good for a bearded dragon, but Chameleons are unusual lizards. You could try going back to the shop and seeing if they will exchange it for something you can use........as for basking - the expensive branded all living things bulb might as well be a standard household bulb. They do exactly the same thing. Stupid pet shops.
