The breeze myth is unequivocally, undeniably, 100% bullnonsense.
A breeze, or even a stronger wind, will not in any shape or form harm your chameleon by itself. Obviously a hurricane might be a little harder to tolerate, but typical daily wind is harmless.
I have right now 6 chameleons sitting on my balcony, full time, not 50 yards from the beach, and there is always an ocean breeze blowing through. Not only have they not died from the wind but they are doing phenomenal in the Florida sunshine.
Additionally, unless it's getting below 60-50*F at night you will not need to keep a light on for heat at all. They do really well with a drop in temperatures at night.
