D3 Deficiency Question

Does anyone have any info on the effect that vit D3 deficiency has on a chameleon? I would like to know if this has anything to do with Lily's current health problem. I have tried the search function, but nothing is jumping out at me - it even threw up the thread 'Lombardi is Back' which isn't much help with regard to D3! Generally a lack of D3 will result in MBD symptoms....so calcium inbalance issues.
