D.I.Y veiled cage

Dimensions: 1200 mm high x 600 mm deep x 600 mm wide

Framework: treated pine

mesh: high grade coated securamesh

Lighting/Uv: Linear .5 uvb reptisun , 40 watt basking globe

Live Plants: Fucus Benjemin x1 Hibiscus rosa sinensis x1 golden pothos x2 shefflera arboricola x2 + fake plants & vines

Drainage: Two trays beneath the floor slide out to be emptied.

Dripper: D.I.Y cup, tubing leads through drilled hole on ceiling baton & attaches with closed hooks. Resevoir last 3& 1/2 hrs- 4 hrs
(working on mk11 dripper system)

Cham: male veiled (currently shedding) age: 2 months

other: Feeding cup can be seen hanging. mostly free roaming prey.

Time: done over three days, total around 5hrs building time

cost: $68

nice job on the construction. one question though...did you seal the lumber? It looks like it is still raw. the lumber you used looks like pine. Is it?

Anyway any kind of lumber you use should be treated with some king of sealer to prevent rot.

Otherwise it looks terrific...

Definitely seal it if you haven't- it will rot otherwise, not to mention most softwoods can be mildly toxic. Also, you say "treated" and I assume you bought it that way- some lumber is treated with arsenic, which is another good reason to seal it.

yes its pine guys. by 'treated' i meant its painted (sealed but not stained) with clear matt varnish. so far, so good. the cham seems to like it and utilises the space, climbing up and down as he pleases.
