Cutting a hole for drip line

This is probably a very stupid question and when I see the answers I will be like....yeah why didn't I think of that.

I have wire clippers but I cannot get them through the tiny wires at the top to clip a small hole nor do I want a big hole for escapees. What do you guys use to make a hole in the top of your screen for the tube? Or how else do you do it. I could easily use a drill bit but I think that would stress my little guy out too much. Heck it would stress me out trying. Right now I am wanting to give him the rest of the week inside the cage before I try to handle him so getting him out of the cage is not a solution right now.

Maybe using a drill bit without the drill to pry the wires and just rotate it until it is through the screen?

I used the tip of one blade of a set or scissors. Inserted in one of the little holes in the screen and twisted until it was the size I wanted.

I used a screwdriver, a little one, star shaped...
Just do it gently and slowly and until you get the size you need.

Tip of a pen would be best. Just pick a square. Push down until u can get the drip line to go threw it

Are you using a screen cage (like window screen material)? If so, I just used a nail and poked it through a tiny hole in screen then made circles with it until it got proper size
