hey I was just interested hearing from people about how much it has cost them to build a simple custom cage. I'm planing on getting a veiled so it would on larger side. I am just trying to see if it is worth the effort to build. If i do go this route I don't mind making blue prints and step by step pictures using the minimal amount of tools so most amount of people can benefit.

i have built a few cages but i was going for a good looking cage so i could have saved afew bucks but i spent about 160 per cage

I built a 3x3x5(ish) screen cage from materials from home-depot.
They sell 11' sticks of the framing(I think its 11') and connectors, spline, and screen.
It cost me about $75.
It was fairly easy too

I made one recently that didn't cost me much at all. The biggest savings were from buying a black wire shelving unit off of craigslist for $40. Then I bought the shower curtain for $12, zip ties were $9 and lastly the drain I used to funnel all of the water was like $4. So I spent a total of $65 (ignoring mistking, plants, vines, etc.).
