Critter Nation Experiment

I came across this cage while surfing one night and thought it would be great for a larger cham. It is a midwest critter nation cage. Bio-vine is easy to attach and draining will be no problem. It will end up with plastic tubs on the bottom to catch water. Plus it has wheels on the bottom, making it easy to roll outside when the weather permits. It's still a work in progress but so far I like it. It would be easy to make it a double, and pretty easy to screen it out if I had too. By the way, I would love to give the guy who invented zip ties a high five.

I would worry about smaller chams. The bars are a bit wide and humidity will be hard to keep up.

Edit: You don't want the vines to be within 6" of the basking spot to prevent burns, but as long as you keep the spot far above the cage you should be fine.

To me, that looks perfect for an adult male. Just make sure you mist the whole cage. I'm not an expert, but you may even be able to keep a melleri in there (my favorite I just dont have the room :( )

Rocky I wouldn't suggest a Melleri to someone when you don't know how much chameleon experience they have. :p

Raider, have you kept a melleri before?

No, but I would put in the reading first. I have kept herps for 15+ years. Long enough to know how important research is. Plus there seems to be a lot of good folks on here willing to advise.:)
