Will crickets lay their eggs in a 3in deep container of saw dust i provided them?

not saw dust, get eco earth from petco for like $3.75

Soil works and I think some people use sand

Ok ill get some sand or eco earth soon thanks for the help! Just looked and it seems like they are laying in it i see small white eggs i believe.
