should i use some sort of bedding also just got some cricket crack bowl or just spread on the bottom? just wondering if i am doing it all wrong?

I don't give my feeders any bedding, I just toss the dry gutload on the bottom of the keeper. I suspect if you provided bedding you might end up with baby crickets...not that there's anything wrong with that....

Well, there you've got me...I just toss some in and check it whenever I pull crickets out to see if I need to add more.

ok thanks just dont want to be too wasteful and i have been having alot of dieing crickets so just wanted to find out if there could be a problem with how i have been feeding them

If you’ve got mixed sizes together start noticing if the dead ones are all larger. They only live a short time and if you don’t feed off the older ones they just die naturally. I think a lot of people think they are doing something wrong when the only thing happening is you aren’t feeding them off before they croak from old age.

i dont think this is the problem cause they aren't even mature when they are dieing and its a death rate of at least 10 a week and i only buy about 200 crickets at a time...
